SHARPFUTURES & CHANNEL 4 IN ASSOCIATION WITH 4STUDIO PRESENT ‘CONTENT CREATIVES 2022’

‘Content Creatives 2022’ could well be the first step in an exciting new career…

‘Content Creatives 2022’ is a creative talent development programme launched by social enterprise SharpFutures with the support of Channel 4 and their very successful and award winning Leeds based digital content production team 4Studio.

The aim and vision of the programme is to inspire and encourage a new generation of digital content makers in Yorkshire by offering twenty paid placements for trainee content makers to acquire and hone their skills and editorial voice.

This scheme aims to offer opportunities to those currently underrepresented in the TV industry, so we are particularly keen to hear from disabled people, ethnically diverse people and people from lower socio-economic groups.

The 14-week programme is for individuals aged 18-24 years old living in Yorkshire, as part of Channel 4’s commitment to developing talent in the Nations and Regions.

The first 6 weeks of the programme from Monday 4th April 2022 will include masterclasses in digital storytelling, production techniques, ideas generation, pitching skills and delivering to a creative brief, using well known Channel 4 shows such as Derry Girls, The Inbetweeners and Hollyoaks. The programme will also cover personal development sessions such as resilience, imposter syndrome and networking in the workplace to give you lots of techniques and tips to improve your future employability. These will be led by a team of experts in each respective subject and there will be supplementary online learning in recognised industry software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop and AfterEffects. From Monday 16th May 2022 the last 8 weeks will be spent working directly with the team at 4Studio in Leeds.

The programme will be delivered remotely online and when possible, in person subject to COVID guidelines. The course will run Monday to Friday during office hours.
